One place to follow what your city, county and other local governments are doing, with a link to the government's own document behind every record.
For city clerks and district secretaries
If something on your government's page is wrong, out of date or posted somewhere we are not looking, email CONTACT_EMAIL (not filled in yet) with the page link and the correct document. We fix it at the source, so it stays fixed, and we will tell you when it is done.
The same address is how to ask us to link a different page, to change how we collect from your site, or to stop collecting from it.
Who runs it
MuniScout is run by OPERATOR_NAME (not filled in yet) (OPERATOR_LEGAL_ENTITY (not filled in yet)), independently. It is not a government website, and no government pays for it or reviews it before it is published.
What it covers
Every one of the 49 cities and towns in the Valley has a page, across 8 counties, along with the counties themselves and a growing set of school districts, ports and other public bodies. A place has a page even when its meetings are not connected yet, and the page says so rather than leaving you guessing.

How the records get here
We read what the government itself publishes: its meeting page, its agenda and minutes archive, its officials page, its budget. We copy what is posted, note the date we checked it, and link back to the original document so you can read it yourself. Nothing on a page is written by us, and no record is invented to fill a gap.
Some governments do not post online, or post in a place a computer cannot read. Those are checked by a person in a browser, and the page shows when that was and where to look.
Agendas say what is proposed. Minutes say what happened. We keep those apart, and we never present a proposed item as a decision.
What we will not do
We do not sell or share what visitors do here, we do not run advertising or tracking, and there is no account to create. Privacy is the whole list of what is collected. Terms of use covers how the site may be used.
And the government's own document always wins: if a record here and the official posting disagree, the official posting is right.
